I have owned and trained German Shepherd Dogs since I was 12 years old. Raised with the breed and always interested in their protective instincts and intelligence, I joined the local Schutzhund club when I was 17 years old.

Since that time, I have learned all things German Shepherd, including how to work and train them as the "helper" or "agitator" in the protection aspect of the sport of Schutzhund. I have competed nationally and internationally, representing the United States twice at the World Championship with a dog I raised and trained from a puppy.

What I learned from some of the most famous and accomplished dog trainers over the last 45 years, I use to help people with their family pets or others who desire a more well trained dogs for various purposes.

After retiring from a career in retail management, I started offering boarding here at my ranch in Santa Clarita. I have years of experience caring for dogs in a kennel environment. a situation some of the local operators seem to struggle with.

My kennel was built for the safety and comfort of my own dogs and the dogs staying here appreciate the large, shaded and climate controlled runs that offer them a view of the other dogs and the surrounding property.

Once a week for 8 weeks. Basic obedience under distraction. Also dealing with dog/people aggression and other behavior issues.

In-Kennel Training

You and your dog will receive the benefit of 45 years of dog training experience. I have trained literally hundreds of dogs from a variety of breeds and helped their handlers to not only understand their dog better, but also how their own behavior influences training results.

From very talented dogs used in police, dog sport and detection work, to dogs with severe behavioral and aggression problems, I have seen the full spectrum and I am confident I can help with just about any dog or problem.

I have extensive experience dealing with aggressive breeds. I understand what creates many of the problems that dog owners encounter with these types of dogs and therefore understand how to solve them. I have helped hundreds of clients work through aggression issues with their dogs.

I am an accomplished National and International competitor with the German Shepherds I breed and handle, along with assisting other high level competitors to reach their goals in dog training sports. I have attended numerous dog training seminars and workshops over the years and have been afforded many opportunities to train with, and learn from, some of the best dog trainers in the world.

While many trainers are strong believers in only one method of training, I believe there are many tools that should be incorporated into any serious training program. I do not limit myself to one method or offer gimmicks to my clients and I do know what works. To achieve the best results, I use the methods best suited to your dog and to you as the handler.

Puppies must be current on vaccinations appropriate for their age.

If you want to avoid many of the problems people encounter with their teenaged or adult dogs, the best way to do that is to start your puppy early! Our Puppy Classes offer a number of benefits for puppies from 8 weeks of age to 4 months. Socialization, behavior shaping, advice regarding house training and basic problem solving are covered during this 6 week course. Puppies are taught basic obedience, (heel, sit, down, stay, come), through the use of food and clicker. These are private sessions and I do my best to work with your schedule. This course is $300.00.
